Earlier this week, a local meteorologist suffered an unexpected injury.

Patrick Hammer, the chief meteorologist at WGRZ, recently had a unfortunate accident resulting in a bad fall. As a result, he will be unable to return to work for a few weeks.

He took to his social media pages to share the news.

“I’ve been placed on injury reserve for a short period of time due to a bad fall. But don’t worry, I won’t be off my feet for too long. Looking forward to rejoining the team at @wgrz soon.
