Lockdown At Lycoming County Office Following Woman’s Threat To Shoot Up Building

A woman has been arrested and charged with threatening to shoot up the Lycoming County Children and Youth Services office.

Kimberly Ann McCray, 32, has been charged with various counts for allegedly making threats to a caseworker at the workplace.

According to the Williamsport Bureau of Police, McCray was furious that her child had been placed in protective custody and sent many threatening texts to a caseworker.

McCray allegedly called the office and said she was going to “go get a gun and shoot up the building.”

The threats forced a protective lockdown at the complex, causing major disruptions to government activities. Authorities dispatched sheriffs to safeguard the building’s perimeter.

We charged McCray with felonies and issued an arrest warrant.

Officers apprehended McCray at Memorial Park and arrested her.

McCray was arraigned and transported to Lycoming County Prison, with bail set at $75,000.
