North Alabama to experience wind advisory on Thursday and Friday

The National Weather Service issued a wind advisory on Wednesday at 1:12 p.m. The advisory will be in effect from Thursday 7 a.m. until Friday 7 a.m. for Lauderdale, Colbert, Franklin, Lawrence, Limestone, Madison, Morgan, Marshall, Jackson, DeKalb, and Cullman counties.

The weather service predicts that there will be southeast winds with speeds ranging from 15 to 25 mph, and gusts of up to 35 mph.

According to the weather service, gusty winds may cause unsecured objects to be blown around. Additionally, tree limbs could potentially be knocked down, resulting in a few power outages. The service advises that driving may be challenging, especially for high profile vehicles, and urges everyone to exercise extra caution.
