Police: 24-year-old Man Fatally Shot On Chicago’s West Side

Police say a 24-year-old man was shot and killed Monday afternoon in Chicago’s South Austin neighborhood.

The shooting happened around 4:23 p.m. in the 4900 block of West Hubbard Street.

The victim, according to the police, suffered multiple body strikes before driving himself to Mount Sinai Hospital, where they declared him dead.

The victim’s identification has not been published.

There are currently no suspects in custody, and no other information about what occurred prior to the shooting was immediately available.

Detectives in the area are still conducting an investigation.
