Rochester man killed in motorcycle accident in Genesee County

Michigan – A tragic accident in the Town of Stafford on Saturday evening claimed the life of a Rochester man. The accident involved a motorcycle and an SUV.

The Genesee County Sheriff’s Office was alerted to a personal injury accident on State Route 33 in Stafford at approximately 5:36 p.m. The report was received by the Emergency Dispatch Center.

Michael Ciarpelli, a 20-year-old resident of Rochester, was driving west on State Route 33 when he decided to overtake two vehicles ahead of him, as reported by the GCSO.

The investigation into the crash is still ongoing. Currently, there have been no reports of any additional injuries sustained by the driver or passenger of the SUV.
