Woman in New York State Accused of Driving Over Three Times the Legal Alcohol Limit and Hitting Cars

According to authorities, on the night of September 5, a woman from New York state was driving well above the legal limit. The suspect, who was highly intoxicated, collided with multiple parked vehicles. However, she failed to stop after hitting one of the cars.

These include a fine ranging from $1,000 to $2,500, a minimum one-year suspension of your driver’s license, the mandatory installation of an ignition interlock device, and the possibility of serving up to one year in jail.

On September 5th, around 11:14 p.m., troopers from the New York State Police  swiftly responded to multiple crash incidents in the vicinity of Green Street in Schuylerville, NY.

According to the police, a 32-year-old woman from Schuylerville, who was driving north, hit an unoccupied parked vehicle but did not stop. She then proceeded to strike another unoccupied parked vehicle near an intersection before finally coming to a stop.

When the troopers arrived at the scene, they found her asleep in the driver’s seat, with the vehicle still running. Thankfully, she was unharmed. State police promptly arrested her for driving while intoxicated, along with several other violations.

The police transported her to the processing facility, where she registered a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) of 0.25%, which is more than three times the legal limit in the state. She was issued tickets and is scheduled to appear in court in October.

Police in New York State have reported that a crash into the median on I-87 resulted in a DWI arrest.
