In the past week, certain areas of the Tennessee Valley have experienced significant rainfall, while other parts have received minimal precipitation.
In isolated regions of northwest Alabama, rainfall levels ranged from nine inches to one foot, which contributed to the amelioration of drought conditions. According to the most recent drought monitor, the Shoals region was previously experiencing a severe drought; however, it is currently experiencing abnormally arid conditions.
The drought conditions in certain regions of northeast Alabama and Southern Middle Tennessee have deteriorated as a result of the insufficient rainfall.
