University of Alabama Launches Digital Bootcamp Program in Rural Communities

The Alabama Small Business Development Center at the University of Alabama is taking its digital marketing bootcamp to rural communities in Alabama, aiming to enhance businesses’ marketing skills.

The bootcamp is a comprehensive three-hour training program that covers various aspects such as setting goals, gaining a thorough understanding of SEO, and harnessing the power of social media.

The U.S. Small Business Administration’s Portable Assistance program will offer the training.

“During the pandemic, we all saw how companies with a strong digital marketing presence were able to stay connected with their customers and stay relevant. Michael Brooks, associate state director of the ASBDC at UA, emphasized the importance of this by stating, ‘The Digital Marketing Bootcamp will assist small businesses in reaching a larger audience and establishing a solid foundation for business growth.'”

Jacqui Jones, CEO of One Degree Marketing and founder of Elevation Academy, along with Larkin Jones, a business advisor at the Alabama SBDC at Auburn University, are among the program facilitators in Alabama.
