A convicted felon is facing charges after police discovered him in possession of a loaded gun when they responded to a report of a large fight during a party on Saturday morning in Rochester, N.Y.

According to reports, Brown allegedly declined to remove his hands from his pockets and resisted efforts to apprehend him.

Brown faces charges of second- and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon and resisting arrest. According to law enforcement officials, he has prior convictions for robbery in 2006 and 2009.

As Brown’s arrest was underway, a hostile crowd tried to intervene, leading to the apprehension of two additional individuals by the police.
