At around 5:23 a.m., first responders received a call about a fire at 329 Knapp Avenue. • Fraime Ubaldo, 30
    • Evangeline Ubaldo-Moreno, 4
    • Sebastian Ubaldo-Moreno, 2

Pimentel-Soriano was arrested by the police on September 7. According to documents obtained by Rochester ABC/CW affiliate WHAM, he allegedly used a sharp object to fatally stab the victims in the neck and chest. The authorities have not provided any motive for the crime and are currently searching for additional suspects. It has been reported that the case will be presented to a grand jury.

According to officers, Pimentel-Soriano allegedly entered the United States by first arriving in Puerto Rico without any documentation. Afterward, he obtained fraudulent identification for New York, which he used to travel to the mainland United States.

Monroe County Assistant District Attorney Perry Duckles has stated that he believes the attack was not a random incident, as reported by WHAM. The prosecutor further revealed that Pimentel-Soriano, who has connections to the Rochester area, has been known to use the name Rafael Jose Vargas.

“I am finding it difficult to believe that this amazing young man, whom I knew and loved along with his family, was killed in such a tragic manner. It is simply unacceptable,” he expressed to WHAM.
