A West Seneca man is currently facing a variety of charges, including attempted murder, after the New York State Police reported that he had the intention of killing the romantic companion of his estranged wife.
On Tuesday, Andrew J. Case, 41, was apprehended on Route 9 in the Town of Greenport, Long Island. According to the State Police, Case was en route to Westchester County and was in possession of three shotguns at the time of his arrest.
The search was initiated by a 911 broadcast from Columbia County, according to the State Police
The accusations against Case consist of one count each of attempted murder, attempted assault, and criminal use of a firearm, all of which are felonies. Additionally, he was accused with one misdemeanor count of operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.
The case was arraigned in the Town of Claverack Court and is currently being held in the Columbia County Jail without bond.
Case is scheduled to appear in court on Monday morning, according to a search of the New York State electric court filing system on Friday night.
