The suspect was apprehended by the police and was taken to UAB Hospital as a precautionary measure. Subsequently, the police transported him to the Jefferson County Jail.

The driver had a passenger with them, who quickly left the scene following the collision.

During the pursuit, several vehicles, including a police car, were damaged, according to the police. Furthermore, one of the vehicles involved in the chase struck a driver, who was subsequently transported to a nearby hospital for medical attention.

The authorities have positively identified the suspect as Jarvis Anjuan Allen, a 44-year-old individual. Allen is currently being charged with multiple counts of drug trafficking, as well as a felony charge for his attempt to evade the police.

Allen has been assigned a total bond of over $2 million.

According to the police, 19-year-old Braylin Allen, who was in the vehicle with Allen, has voluntarily surrendered himself.
