Family honors man killed outside Montgomery gas station

Family Pays Tribute to Man Killed Outside Montgomery Gas Station

Holloway Vason was slain almost three months ago, and his family is beginning some closure. Tuesday, Montgomery Police  arrested a 14-year-old in relation to the June 24 murder of Vason.

Friends, relatives, and classmates honored his life following the arrest by releasing balloons outside the Roadrunner petrol station Friday.

Family relatives claimed Vason would spend every day sitting at the empty car wash next to the gas station with buddies.

Vason’s classmate Cynthia Jackson claimed, “He had just passed my house earlier that day, and he’s always spoken. We would always speak to each other.”

Vason’s sister Kiwnis Williams said her brother loved life, people, and the Alabama Crimson Tide.

“Couldn’t ask for a better brother,” Williams added, “He was loving, sweet, and kind.”

Vason was 67 years old when he died.
