A tragic incident unfolded in North Tonawanda on Monday morning, as the North Tonawanda Police Department reported the loss of a Jamestown man’s life in a fatal crash.
Terry Crick, 58, was riding his E-Bike when he was hit by a vehicle. Unfortunately, he did not survive his injuries.
At approximately 11:25 a.m. on Monday, the North Tonawanda police received a report about a motor vehicle accident that involved a bicyclist. The incident took place in the vicinity of Twin City Memorial Highway and Tremont Street.
The initial investigation uncovered that the E-bike driver was heading east on Tremont Street, while a 2014 Ford Explorer was heading south. It is alleged that Crick failed to give way and was hit by the Ford.
Crick suffered life-threatening injuries and was rushed to ECMC for treatment. Sadly, he passed away on Tuesday.
The driver of the Ford vehicle is actively cooperating with the ongoing investigation and has not been charged with any offenses.
