North Carolina Police Arrest Alleged Leader of Local Drug Ring

A drug trafficking ring in Ontario County has recently seen its leader apprehended near Charlotte, North Carolina.

37-year-old Sharif Parker, also known as “Reef,” evaded authorities in December of last year when ten co-defendants were indicted and apprehended.

The individual faced charges for crimes related to drug and gun possession, money laundering, and conspiracy.

Last year, authorities conducted searches in Ontario, Wayne, Seneca, and Monroe counties, resulting in the discovery of drugs, five handguns, a rifle, and a significant sum of $30,000 in cash.

Parker was taken into custody last week, with Ontario County authorities currently making efforts to have him extradited to face the charges.
