Teenager, aged 14, faces charges in connection with the death of a man in Montgomery

Montgomery police have announced that a 14-year-old has been apprehended in relation to the June homicide of a local man.

According to Maj. Saba Coleman, the suspect in the shooting death of 67-year-old Holloway Vason on June 27th has been identified as an unidentified teenager.

That evening, officers and fire medics swiftly responded to the 3400 block of Woodley Road following a distress call regarding a shooting incident.

Upon their arrival, they discovered Vason suffering from a gunshot wound that posed a grave threat to his life. Vason was immediately transported to a nearby hospital, but unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries.

A 14-year-old boy was arrested on September 17 and is now being held in the Montgomery County Detention Facility without bond.
